Ringbrothers has revealed a one-off 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer produced to support Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization focusing on disaster response and humanitarian crises. Fundraising company Omaze is giving away the overhauled classic Blazer in an online sweepstake that began on June 7 and will run through September 16.

After some years of customizing Blazers—among its other wild restomod projects—Ringbrothers built a vehicle for the sole purpose of charity, a first-time for the Wisconsin-based car builder. Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring says that since the company started working on classic Blazer models, the muscular 4X4 has become a popular request.

Completely revised inside and out, the Ringbrothers 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer comes fitted with an LS3 crate engine generating 430 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. The 6.2-liter V-8 connects to a Bowler Tru-Street 350 three-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. Also added is a custom Flowmaster exhaust system, which gives the K5 Blazer an appropriately aggressive exhaust note.

The two-door full-size SUV rides on 18-inch HRE forged wheels sporting beefy 33 x 12.50-inch R18 LT General Grabber X3 all-terrain tires. It has QA1 shocks and sway bars, plus Baer six-piston front and rear brakes. Ringbrothers replaced the stock hardtop with a bikini soft-top and a custom roll bar. The K5’s other body modifications include enlarged wheel wells and a newly designed hood with a raised cowl and custom billet hood inserts. Ringbrothers topped it all off with an arresting coat of BASF Growler Green paint.

As spectacular as the K5 Blazer looks on the exterior, though, the tailor-made interior by Upholstery Unlimited is a showstopper in its own right. Everything from the seats to the door panels to the dashboard is customized using high-quality, golden-tan leather. Among the upgraded equipment you’ll find an Ididit steering column, Dakota Digital gauges, Kicker speakers, and a Kenwood audio system head unit. The old Chevy truck’s switchgear also was updated, including the window cranks, door handles, and comp switches.

This one-of-a-kind 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer has an estimated retail value of $250,000. A donation, while welcomed, is not required to enter the sweepstakes. Omaze will announce the lucky winner of this amazing K5 around October 6.
