The Volkswagen Golf Mk7 (also known as the Golf VII[3]) is a compact car, the seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Volkswagen Golf Mk6. It was announced in Berlin on 4 September 2012, before a public launch at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.[4] Cars reached Volkswagen dealers in the Golf's European domestic market on 10 November 2012.[5]
The Golf Mk7 uses the same MQB platform as the third-generation Audi A3, SEAT León and Škoda Octavia. At its introduction in 2013, it won the Car of the Year Japan Award, the first time it was awarded to a European product.
On 10 November 2016, VW presented a Facelift.[6]

On 8 April 2010, Ferrari announced official details of the 599 GTO. [11]  The car is a road-going version of the 599XX and at the time Ferrari claimed that the 599 GTO was their fastest ever road car, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Ferrari Enzo. Its engine produces 670 PS (493 kW; 661 bhp) at 8250 rpm, with 620 N·m (460 lb·ft) of torque at 6500 rpm. [12]  Ferrari claims the 599 GTO can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of over 335 km/h (208 mph). [12]  At 1,605 kilograms (3,538 lb), the 599 GTO weighs almost 100 kg (220 lb) less than the standard GTB. [13]  Production is limited to 599 cars.
